I can't find a way to delete my tree; I had planned to delete my OLD tree and import my NEW tree once I figured how to cut the new one down to 100 people. This is NOT a problem with Ancestry/FTM only Geni. I'm still trying to understand the benefit to ME about posting "part" of a tree (or any for that matter) to Geni.
How do I quit? Is that the only way to delete my out of date tree? Will all of my information be deleted?

How do you delete a tree? This site is the most confusing thing to navigate. I want to give up before I've even gotten started.
Please login to your Geni account and delete any of the information you would like removed from the site, including any photos or profile information you added. Once you have removed the information you do not want on the tree, simply select 'Account Settings' and 'Close Account' to deactivate your account on Geni.
Otherwise, to simply deactivate your account, you can find the close account page in your settings: Close Account
Please note that if you are looking to cancel your Pro subscription, you can do that from your Pro settings page without closing your basic Geni account: Geni Pro Account

Question in regards to helpful comment submitted by curator Jeff Gentes.
Deactivating or closing the account is all well and good but does it completely remove all traces of my tree or just my account? and
if i have merges or invitees connected to my tree what happens to them?
I have well over 6,000 entries before Geni in their infinite wisdom changed the rules and do not wish to spend a great deal of time deleting them one by one.

I do not want to donate my tree to geni or transfer to another profiler, i want to completely remove all i uploaded.
Lesley Watts, - You will not even be asked to donate if you are in a standalone tree with no other users.
When closing your account it will automatically be deleted.
However, if you are the Lesley Watts I just searched for, you are a part of the "big tree", and you have as many as 63 other users just within your own family group, and deleting "your" tree will destroy their tree as well, so you are naturally not allowed to do that. You can however select to donate your managed profiles to a relative and also select that your own profile get deleted.
