Please tell me how to update status of a person to deceased. We have tried all suggestions given on the knowledge base and so far with no success. There is no such Action button.

I'm sorry to hear about the death of one of your family members.
If the person's profile was not claimed (did not join Geni) you may update the status by going to his/her 'Edit Profile' then change the 'Status' to 'Deceased' and click 'Save & Close'. If the 'Edit Profile' button does not show then either the profile was claimed or you do not have permission to edit the profile and you will need to contact the Manager of the profile.
If the profile has been claimed the 'Actions' button is on the top right corner of the person's profile page to report the person as deceased.

Clark Cooper There is no "Deceased" action. The only choices are: "Send a Gift", "Remove from Family Group", "Manager Options", "Request to Collaborate","Block this User","Merge this Profile","View Nearby Merge Issues", "Invite to Project", "Report"
