How do you keep other family members from making changes (blocking their access) to profiles that you created and are the manager of the site?

Jeff, Geni Curator Geni is unlike many online trees in that it is a shared collaborative environment. It is designed to be edited and expanded by your family members and Geni considers it your tree as much as it is their tree, regardless of who initially created the profiles. So if they are adding accurate information and properly expanding the tree, it would be inappropriate to try to prevent them from doing so. Also, if they are removing information to protect their privacy or that of young children, I would let that go as it pertains to Geni Terms Section VIII #13. In many cases, the best way to deal with this is to send them a message and kindly address the dispute and come to an agreement. However, if that is insufficient, one option is the ability to restrict profiles from your family if the person is under 13 years of age (http://www.geni.com/account_settings/managed_profiles/). Alternatively, you can block a user in the Actions menu (http://help.geni.com/entries/21453997-How-can-I-block-another-Geni-user-), which I believe will prevent them from being able to edit your managed profiles as it removes them from your family group. I'd consider the last option carefully as it's pretty harsh to block someone from helping in good faith to build on the family tree. Let me also note that if they are removing content from a shared Family Tree, except to correct inaccurate or offensive data, this could be a violation of Geni's Terms VI (http://help.geni.com/entries/20470897-What-is-a-Vandalism-report-), in which case you could contact a curator for assistance.
