I wanted to start a "new" tree with my mom's side of the family....does it have to tie into the current tree I have from my dad's side ?

The two sides do not know each other (sad but true), and now there is only 1 elderly person left and I wanted to get the information before its too late.

  Hello Lois:

  If you would like your mom's side of the family to be separate from your dad's side, then you would need to start a new Geni account with a different email address. Otherwise, it would be tied into your current tree.
