What do the little numbers mean above individuals on the tree (mostly 1's or 2's)?

Geni Support Team If the number is in a little green tree then - Branches of your tree that are hidden from your current view are indicated by 'little green tree' with a '+' and a number, indicating the number of additional nodes made visible by making that node the focus node (by clicking on the little green tree). (Info located in our Wiki page - http://wiki.geni.com/index.php/Tree)
If the number is in a magnifying glass then - The magnifying glass includes a number which represents the number of 'Similar Profiles' that were found that match the profile in your Tree. Pro users may click on the icon to receive a list of these matches and work to Collaborate with the other Profile managers in that list to merge and eliminate duplicates.
To turn off Tree Matches you may select 'Preferences' at the bottom of the Tree page and check 'Hide Profile Matches.' (Info located in our Wiki page - http://wiki.geni.com/index.php/Matches)
