when we have entered the name of the member with wrong spell or initial we unable to correct it in edit option

  Perhaps it is a claimed profile - if the person has been invited to Geni and logged in (changed password), then they're the only one that can change it.  Otherwise, you should be able to edit it.  If you want to send me a private message about the profile, I'll take a look at it.  Here is contact page: Jeff Gentes
