How can I add the children from a first marriage to the man who later married my grandmother?

My grandmother had three kids, and married a man with three kids.  How can I add the kids from this man, without them appearing as if my grandmother is the mother?  I tried adding a first wife for this man, and adding the children through her, but it didn't work.
