Too many people that I am sure are not my relatives, have been added to my tree.
The "publick" I noted on the profiles, was to enable the family to enter the tree, not that anyone clicking a name in google can see the profile.
I got too many complaines from family members.
I do not found a way to delete the "publick" from all the members on the family tree (at least those that I entered to the tree).
With the help of numerous family members, we've been able to build a tree of 750 members on Geni.com. With the recently announced merger with MyHeritage that, due to political restrictions, has given us no reason to keep the vast amount of information we all contributed to our family tree away from the hands of others. That said, I would like to find out if it would be possible to delete the entire tree at once?
With the purchase of My Heritage, all living profiles will be made private (if they're currently public) in the coming weeks and will be non-searchable via Google. If you want to manually start this process and switch them back now, you can watch this video and reverse the process (uncheck public).
