Barbara, you seem to be logged into a second account. You're other account still exists with the email address you used at the time if you can recall the password. What I can do is try to initiate a merge of the two trees. Though you may have to accept on both accounts.
It looks like you have some duplicates of your step-father and youself (being the daughter of your stepfather) in the other tree. If you need help resolving those once you merge your tree, along with the other duplicates that will take place after the merge, let me know and I'll fix them.

Thanks so much for your help in sorting this all out. I'd like to access my original account. It was Jay E. Cohen who first got me into this marvelous research and history. I don't remember my original password but the email address was timenspace@embarqmail.com. I no longer use Outlook Express in receiving emails, but barbarachimene@gmail.com is the one that works and you have been sending me messages on that email. I saw one email from you which gave me a dummy password (vek46viw) so that I could create my new one. But that page disappeared before I could do that.
Can we untangle this knot?

As a curator, resetting a password is not something I have the ability to do. I have set a couple other pending merges in the tree based on your duplicates (your husband, and your daughter). Try to approve those on your current account (it's possible I may be able to complete Joseph's and if that's done, I should be able to do the others). If that doesn't work, your daughter has a Geni account in the other tree and if she logs in can approve the merge on her profile or her father's profile. If she does that, I can merge your profile for you without you gaining access to your old account. If she is still with Eric, he also has an account and could approve the merge on Joseph, however, neither of them has logged in since 2008. Someone in that tree that has recently been on Geni is Stephen (your cousin Alyda's son) - April 29, 2013. So we could send him a message and he could merge Joseph as well.
