Back in April I submitted a bug report:
I use my middlename - and am known by that name - but for completeness added my firstname to my records. Under my profile image the firstname is displayed rather than the name I'm known by. Shouldn't all tags/links for a persons name go by the display name by default rather than the firstname field?
Support got back in touch a couple of weeks later:
There is a new comment in topic Images should show chosen display name - not firstname.

...I'm having trouble seeing a place on the site where your first name is being used. Can you send me a link to the page where you're seeing your first name instead of your display name?
I responded within a couple of days with a screenshot and explanation that it could be seen from personal profile page (I don't see how you could miss it), then heard nothing further. A few days ago I got an e-mail saying that as I hadn't been in touch the issue was being closed - then found that I couldn't respond as submitting a ticket is now a Pro feature only. I'm not impressed and it certainly doesn't encourage me to upgrade my membership.
Can anyone out there suggest how users are supposed to report a bug - surely giving feedback to improve the site for all users shouldn't depend on whether you're paying for the premium service?
