I have some ancestors from 1500's who I know are related (Ihave items from them), I just haven't found the couple of relatives to connect us yet. Can I add them to my tree without the connection, or make a new tree where the people are all long dead, then connect it to mine when I find the missing people?

Jeff, Geni Curator It's likely (being around the 1500s) that those distant relatives already exist on Geni, where you could connect when you grow to that point. Even 1600 going into 1700, it might be probable. If they're not already on Geni, then a pro member would need to assist you in creating a disconnected branch.
