I know his father was Percival Augustus Hillary but his father emigrated to New Zealand from Yorkshire in the UK.

Does anyone know eho his father was and where he was from?

  The help area is normally for issues with Geni.  I'd suggest you create a discussion thread off of the profile you're interested in.  Then whoever links into that profile, or sees that profile, will have access to that discussion and can perhaps answer it.  Outside of Geni, RootsWeb (in the Hillary forum) might be a good place to pose that question or search the web for sites that specialize in that family and send an e-mail to the contact.
