Take a look at your notifications.
http://www.geni.com/account_settings/notifications/
In particular, look at the checkbox for "upcoming birthdays, anniversaries or other holidays (once daily max)".
Please also check your notification settings: http://help.geni.com/entries/466642-how-can-i-update-my-email-notifications
and make sure your Geni emails have not been flagged as Spam: http://help.geni.com/entries/466664-why-am-i-no-longer-receiving-any-emails-notifications
