When I try to merge the two duplicates, the profile created by a fellow collaborator is solid white, If I go to the profile I created and click Merge duplicates, it says I do not have permission to add relationships to this profile, and tells me who the fellow collaborator is. I asked my fellow collaborator to see if she can merge them for me, and she says when she goes to that profile in her tree it is solid white / locked out in her tree also. Have not had any issues with profiles between me and her before. Any idea's what I / we are doing wrong with this one profile? Thanks!!

Bjørn P. Brox A white node in the tree indicates that it is a private profile, so collaboration does not give access to merge into it unless it is within the family group of the one who want to merge it. In addition it can be a user profile, which you identify by showing no manager in the compare window or a blue frame around the mugshot in tree view. Only the user him/her self or a curator can finalize such merges.
I just checked your merge center and all four requests is on user profiles.
I will complete them for you. -
Brannon Bowden Bjorn, the specific one we are having an issue with is J. Sassmannshausen, trying to merge with Johan Phillip Sassmannhausen.
I thought it may be a privacy setting, although the person is long deceased, but I contacted the manager of that person and they are unable to edit it to make sure it is marked as deceased / not public. According to her it also shows the plain white box.

Bjørn P. Brox Both are private profiles, so you have to invite the other manager to your family group to get access, probably because the other profile is outside your natural family group range.
I will continue to merge on that line for you since the merges will bring them within range. -
Brannon Bowden Thanks Bjørn!

Marilyn I'm pretty frustrated. I just paid for the Pro subscription. I'm adding my own tree, hoping to connect to the World Tree. I've already come across a duplicate. There was no mention that there was a duplicate when I entered my information. When i try to merge, it says I haven't identified a duplicate. I've made several attempts to do this, but not luck. Then, to top if off, because there is a duplicate, it is recognizing it as an uncle rather than my 3rd great grandfather.

Jeff, Geni Curator Marilyn, when I click on the match for your 3rd GGF, I get to this comparison. It should merge fine. https://www.geni.com/merge/compare/6000000047031590420?return=match%3B&to=6000000006348568752
