Dan Cornett It is intentional that Geni "separated" this 'Help area' from the 'genealogical area' of Geni. So, while the "Help area" recognizes that you 'connected from' a logged-in Geni account, it does not have any other "connection" to pull information from that 'genealogical area' -- and that is for privacy concerns.

Virgílio Azuíl Páscoa Machado Dan, Thanks for your explanation. Does it mean that I can't have my picture here even if I want to? It's amazing how many decisions are made by others with respect to your own privacy. Is there any rule against me adding to my every message a link like this:

Let me explain. I believe I have been a public figure even since before I was born, and still am. I have nothing to be ashamed of and nothing to hide. I live in a free country where people are only «softly» persecuted and segregated because of their opinnions. I do not fear for my or my family's physical integrity, life or loss of property. I have had during my already relatively long life only some minor, rare and manageable inconveniences, which I'm not even sure can be traced to my public figure status. So you see, privacy is not an issue with me, and I'm not particularly amused when some else tries to throw it at me. Even if that is the option by default, I like to let other people know that I have already white hair and beard and I'm not a minor, teenager or young adult, even when I do act like one. :-) Regards. -
Dan Cornett No, Virgílio, there is no reason you *can't* have a profile picture here -- but (just looking around at this page) I don't know how to do so! I know at least one other person has one though, so maybe someone else can help us learn how to attach a profile photo!
