Bjørn P. Brox You can only block users, and you find the option in the Actions menu at the upper right corner of a profile.
In the Immediate family of yourself you can also edit and hide family members.
but... honestly, - don't bring personal quarrels to genealogy

Gerhard Schröder Thank you for your prompt response...but I certainly don't appreciate your patronizing statement at the end. I am trying to respect someones wish not to appear in public forums etc

Bjørn P. Brox So it is not a question of you blocking others?
If you don't want to be public, don't post anythng, close your account or adjust your privacy setting. Anyhow, it is nothing you can do with that, only the user can perform the actions in the account setting he/she find under his/her name in the uooer right corner of every Geni page. -
Gerhard Schröder I am the User/Administrator of my own account. Let me try again: There is a person that I originally reflected in my family tree, that requested me to please HIDE her from showing up in searches etc.
-
Gerhard Schröder She also don't want to be visible in the Tree, nor does she wish do be spammed by all the updates

Bjørn P. Brox Since she get emails from Geni she obviously is a user herself, and it is only her that can do something about it.
First of all: At the bottom of every mail you get from Geni you have a link to stop them from coming. Ask her to take a closer look the next time she get one.
Secondly: Ask her to visit the Profile Privacy and Permissions accounts settings, where removing removing the checkmark on Let the public search for me (profile privacy settings apply) totally hides her for public search engines.
