As soon as the person I invited to join my tree accepted my imvitation, the field for entering E-mail address dissapeard and there are only words "tree" and "more" listed below this person's box. There is no visible possibility to edit this person's data.

Jeff, Geni Curator Once a person "claims" their profile on Geni, then they become the owner of their data and the only person that can update it. This can be overridden by the user in their account preferences / permissions (http://www.geni.com/account_settings/permissions) by checking the box to "Let my family edit my profile". If the person is no longer living, you can report them as deceased to allow the family to reclaim the profile.
