This is regarding email notifications I am receiving. I have my wife's family group set to "immediate family" and "no inlaws" and I still receive birthday notices for her second cousins.  Why?

  Not sure, might want to report this as a bug.  Doesn't fix the issue, but you could turn off birthday notifications here: http://www.geni.com/account_settings/notifications

  This matters get me really upset.... I don't want to receive any matches or whatsoever notification about the cousins or uncles of the husband of my sister.... If this has no solution, I'll end nuking my Geni account

  Jesus, check the box at the bottom of the notification settings "Unsubscribe me from all Geni emails" or selectively uncheck the messages you do not wish to receive, such as "Email me when Geni finds new matches for my tree" or "Email me when Geni finds how I am related to a profile".

  I now that's possible... but the fact is that I do want to receive notifications of match of my tree, o relationship with my profile, but just for me and my family, not the extended family of my sister... that's the issue
