How do I remove someone who has added herself as manager on profiles I manage, including the profiles of my father, grandfather and more?

Bjørn P. Brox If they are not within the family group of the profile you have the option to remove them in the Manager Options you find in the Actions menu of the profile.
The only none-family manager on your father's profile is me, and I was the one who connected you to that line... ;-)

Vera Vadimovna Narishkina Björn, on my father's profile:
Managed by: Vera Vadimovna Narishkina,
Bjørn P. Brox and Kimberly Jane Brooks « lessKimberly is the daughter of my half-brother's son (adopted by MacClatchy) and has been adding herself as manager on my father's profile and my half-brother's profile. I have no issue with her adding herself as manager on her father's profile (which I created) though, but I am worried about what she might alter in my other relatives' profiles (which I created) as she is a hot-headed and rather wild young woman, according to her father (my nephew who was adopted out of the Narishkin family).

Bjørn P. Brox As a family member she will have access to edit independent of being a manager or not. I suggest that you contact her and ask her to discuss with you if she want to make major changes.

Vera Vadimovna Narishkina Will do. She has only yesterday discovered that she is genetically of my family, and we are exchanging messages and developing what seems to be a good relationship. :)

Kaari Bouma This has happened on my tree as well. Merge Center shows merge issues regarding extended family members that I do not want connected on my tree. It seems to have added these extraneous people against my and against their wishes. I only want my grandparents and generations going back, and I want to add people as I find sources to corroborate the people in my family tree. I have no interest in personal details of the living being on my tree, only details for those who have passed away. I am not at ALL interested in data collection on the living. I am ONLY interested in my ancestors.
Why is Karel something adding people to my tree, and how can I remove all of the people he has connected?

Jeff, Geni Curator Kaari, you do realize that Geni is a shared collaborative family tree, correct? https://www.geni.com/worldfamilytree/learn-more It's like complaining to Facebook that you don't like people reading and liking your posts. That's what the site is about. If you're looking for an isolated private tree, Geni is not the right website for you. I suggest Geni's parent site, MyHeritage.

Jeff, Geni Curator There is an option on the display preferences (bottom of the tree) that allows you to only see your direct ancestors though, if that makes it better for you. Then you wouldn't see any of those other profiles.

Michael Eugene Cannell I am completely locked out of people that I have added to Geni a long time ago. A cousin is somehow the manager of a bunch of my additions. She has abandoned Geni and doesn’t know her login. So, am I completely locked out of managing these entries forever? There are a lot of them. She must have merged her entries with mine and now she has complete power over editing them and she has no desire to manage then anymore.

Geni Support Team Hi Michael, if the profiles were merged, then that means that your cousin and you became co-managers of the merged profiles. You both would have equal edit permissions on the profiles. It would not "lock" you out.
Note if you find you are unable to edit some profiles, then it is likely that your relatives have claimed their profiles with their email addresses. This means that only they will be able to edit their own profiles, unless they have updated their own account settings to allow relatives to edit their profiles.
If you believe that neither one of these is the case, then please post the link to a specific example so that we can take a look.
