I'm notified there is a match to one of my relatives and I want to merge the info, but it just takes me to a site to by a subscription for $6.95. I thought I was buying this ability for $9.95 from Geni. What's up? And does Geni have a help desk or is it all just the members leading the members?

There are two types of tree matches. One is a Geni tree, which you can merge. The other is a MyHeritage tree, which is a reference (can not be merged). The MyHeritage trees require a data subscription, which includes access to their trees, census records, news papers, death and birth certificates, etc. So the MyHeritage matches are to help you find more information and sources for building your tree. The Geni matches are duplicates in Geni's world tree which can be merged into a single profile.
