 For example, my great grandmother is the sister of the husband of a family member not the sister of the wife.

  I would like to change the relationship of my son's fianceé to 'wife'. How can I do that?

  Edit one of the profiles (your son or his wife), go to the relationships tab, then change the drop down that describes their partnership from fianceé to 'wife'.

  To the original poster, you should be able to change the parental relationship in the same way I described.
