My understanding was that this was to be a free program. I feel misled and wish to remove my personal information and family data.

Bjørn P. Brox Nothing is free in this world, you get a free part and have to pay for extras.
Compared to other sites Geni is rather free because basic users may add unlimited profiles, merge duplicates, view enhanced relationship paths and add up upload up to 1GB of photos, videos and documents (about 1,000 photos) for free.
We have basic users managing ten thousands of profiles without any problems and by collaborating with a lot of other Geni users they get access to millions of t\other profiles without being a premium users and can also ask collaborators and curators to help them in situations where Pro is needed.
You should however remember that any contribution to keep this site up and running is welcome, where income from selling premium access is one of the most important issues for that.

If you still want to delete you account is it easy since you still are in an isolated tree for your own: Just enter the account settings you find in the menu that pops up by clicking your name in the upper right corner of any Geni window and close your account.

Gwendolyn Burgess Please close my account. I do not wish to pay for items such as this.
I am disappointed that Family Tree DNA shows that it is free.
