I found my name listed in a public search engine, and have been unable to remove it

I have already read the topic titled "I found my listing on your site and would like to be removed" but it does not apply, because the person listed as managing the tree is....myself! So I can't contact her, because it's me and I have no email history with geni.com so I don't know how to access that account. Any messages sent to "her" will end up somewhere in cyberspace (and trust me I tried).

Here's what I did. I made an account (this one) in the hope that I could at least access the other one or merge accounts and delete the information I don't want on there (including rectifying a man listed as my "husband" who is actually my ex-boyfriend....who on earth did this!?)

So what can I do next? Basically I've got my name listed twice, now, and I actually don't want it listed at all. I don't want the whole world to know who my family is.

  I suggest going to that profile of you, and reporting the tree as abandoned.  Actions button, Report, Abandoned Tree and ask them to turn the profiles over to you as it is you..

  As for privacy, this should be filtering out of Google here pretty soon.  I think the new privacy settings applied by My Heritage will remove the ability for people to find it via Google.
