Jeff, Geni Curator Partner would be the most appropriate term, however, it is difficult to disconnect such connections once they are made. It would "split the tree", which requires a pro or curator to do it. What they can do is join Geni, then send a family group request. This will allow you to edit each others trees and build on them, with the ability to remove the connection if things ever go sideways.
