Is there a way to import data from Family tree maker? I do not want to spend hours again import in 200+ people.

Scott Sweeten I would also like to known since my tree has about 25000 ancestors. Is anybody from Geni ckecking these posts?

Jeff, Geni Curator Geni does plan to re-enable GEDCOM inports. They're working on it, but they want to do it in a smart way. It is for the very reason Scott presents that it was disabled, since 24800 of those 25000 profiles already exist on Geni and we're not an isolated tree site. Everyone of those produces a duplicate, which on Geni has to be merged into a single profile. It was creating way more work that it was worth. Adding 200 profiles is nothing compared with merging 1000, so it was turned off. Hopefully soon, they'll have the intelligence worked out so that it skips the duplicates.
