I know the name of a person that was my grand father's first cusin,
but I don't know which of their parents where siblings.
Is there a way for me to add this person to my tree? either with specifying that he is my grand father's first cusin or juts having him as a disconnected related person until I find where exactly in the puzzle he fits in ?
You could create a sibling with the name "unknown" and then list him as the child. Then when you find out, just rename the profile, merge it with the correct sibling, or move the child and delete the unknown.

where in the tree do you suggest I create that sibling? and should it be a male or a female?
I don't know who's sibling it should be, there are four options:
1) This persons mother was my grandfater's mother's sister
2) This persons mother was my grandfater's father's sister
3) This persons father was my grandfater's father's brother
4) This persons father was my grandfater's father's brother
The gender is easy, you can change this to unknown, which makes the profile green. As far as on what side of the tree, I can't help you there if you don't know their last name. If you know their last name, then it should follow to either your father's surname or your mother's maiden name.
