How can I indicate that my great uncle died, and his brother married the great uncle's wife? It's not working out well, no matter whose record I try to manipulate.

Jeff, Geni Curator If the family member was not a member of Geni, then you should be able to edit their profile and mark them as deceased. If the family member who passed away was a member of Geni and had their own Geni account, then you won't have immediate access to mark them as deceased. You can, however, go to their profile and select 'Report' from the 'Actions' menu at the top right of the page and report the person to Geni as deceased and they will take care of changing that over. Let me know if you're having trouble doing this.
