Hi - my relative added me to a family tree and put up a bad photo of me as my profile pic. I changed the picture and also changed my privacy settings so the public can't view my photos. However, this bad picture still shows up when I google my name for all the public to see! Please help me delete it!

Jeff, Geni Curator This is due to Google caching. You've done everything you can do on this site and now you just have to wait. Give it time and it will be removed next time Google crawls/indexes the site and the cache is expired. If you want to try and manually force it, you can look here: http://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=181721 but it tends to get circular.

Veronika Vasilková Hi Jeff, I have the same problem. I deleted all my photos from my Geni profile, however my profile picture still appears when I type my name in google search! I was patient, waiting for deleting it, waiting for some changes.. but with no results..Could you please help me somehow?? Or should I contact someone on google search site or...?

Jeff, Geni Curator Veronika, I can confirm that no images are visible on your Geni profile. I can't say how long it will take for Google to clear the image from its cache (when the next time it will crawl your profile), but I have put in a specific removal request with Google to have your page cache refreshed (status is "pending").
As an additional option, I wanted to make you aware that you can change your privacy settings to hide your profile image from the public, rather than deleting it, if you want to continue allowing your family to see them on your profile. (http://www.geni.com/account_settings/profile_privacy)

Veronika Vasilková Thank you Jeff for your help :) Yesterday I also sent removal request to Google, then I saw status "Pending" too.. Today I checked it up again
and the request disappeared, so I typed my name in Google Search if it was done and tadaaa, my photo is deleted, no more visible for public, problem solved!I also reconsider adding some photos to my Geni profile again, but with some secure settings.. Thanks again for your advice and have a nice day! :)

Roxana Timofte would you please do smth with my profile picture: I deleted it a few weeks ago, but it is still alive. google is sending me to a private geni web adress where I can see it. tell me what is to be done, please.

Jeff, Geni Curator Roxana, I've submitted to Google a request to update the cache of that page. The Geni page does not have the image, so when Google updates, the image will be deleted.
