And now being a Premium Member isn't enough. To access Record Match or Smart Match, you now have to pay and extra $7 a month, or about $100 a year. I don't feel like I'm being respected as a paying member. With this price hike, Geni becomes uncompetitive price-wise with a number of competing services.A very consumer-unfriendly move.

Jeff, Geni Curator The data services are actually 3x more expensive at Ancestry, so not sure what you're comparing. Data subscriptions are expensive. http://help.geni.com/entries/23390398-Why-aren-t-Record-Matches-Smart-Matches-included-in-my-Pro-subscription-

Jeff, Geni Curator It's not a price hike, it's an additional optional service. If you don't want it, don't buy it, but it does have a great deal of value.

Christine Caline Antoni I do agree that this is an additional service and that I had to pay for it, BUT I think that it's a bit excessive that we have to pay TOO for a premium subscription on MH. If Geni and MH are joined now, and if there are planned moves to make bidirectional matches later, why can't there be a unique account for both so that people who went pro on Geni are considered the same on MH, and vice versa ?
