How do you show the father of a child whose parents were not married?

A female relative had a daughter by one man while separated but not divorced from another.

  Add the person as a "Husband / partner" to the Mother (if you don't know their name just put something temporary).  Then add the child as a son/daughter to the father, which will make her the mother.  Then if you choose, you can delete the profile of the father to leave it blank.

  Oh, forgot to state that if you go into the relationship tab of the parents profile, you can change the setting from wife / husband to "partner".
