I created an extra generation by accident. The father and son are the same person the mother and daughter-in-law are the same person how do I correct this

Maven B. Helms This can be corrected, but it's a multi-step process. Example: "Jane Doe" incorrectly listed as the daughter of "Jane Doe", but they're the same person.
1. Select the "daughter" profile.
2. Use the "move" option to move her on top of her "mother".
3. Select "sister" from the options menu, confirm and save.
4. Select the now "sister" profile and move it on top of the other one again.
5. This time select "Same person".
6. Remove the wrong Relationship in the profile, if you are the manager, or get a manager or curator to assist you if you aren't.
Note: if either of them is a Master Profile, you will probably need to report the problem to the relevant curator and have them do it.

Bjørn P. Brox You should also check the Relationships tab under edit profile. If you take a close look you will see that the Parents listing actually is a pull-down menu making it very easy to move a profile between generations.
