I have two cousins by the same name (after marriage), and I accidentally put the wrong one. There is MB#1, who already claimed her profile. I invited MB#2 using MB#1's email which is very embarrassing. How do I prevent her from getting another Geni invite and claiming the wrong profile?
Also, can I remove this from appearing in my recent activity? I don't want this info to go out in another "newsletter" to all my relatives and followers. Please help.
I could swap the two MB profiles so they get put into the correct place if that would help you out. Not sure how to stop it from recent activity, but if we get it corrected quickly, maybe it will reflect the correct person who was invited.
What do you mean by swap their profiles? I quickly deleted the incorrect email address, but would the invitation to join Geni still go out if the person I invited already joined?
I see what you're saying. What I was thinking is that if the person joined Geni and had "claimed" the wrong profile, the wrong MB, I could move the person who claimed the profile to their correct spot in the tree. What would happen with the other profile would be it would send her a merge request. Seeing that it is the other MB, she should decline the merge. But, if she happens to accept the merge, her profile would be linked in both spots, creating a bit of confusion. If that happens, I can help disconnect her from the incorrect family and we can recreate the MB2 profile again.
