Geni will not allow me to delete duplicated entries because these entries have accounts of their own and they have to delete their own names from my tree. Huh? It's my tree, I should be able to remove anyone I want to. How do I go about deleting the duplicate entries? Thank you.
Duplicate entry, several individuals were entered in error, how can I erase the duplicates, example 1) Charles II and Charles Jr (same generation) married to Elizabeth (entered twice) and 2) error made in entereing name of spouse both as 2 seperate wives, only ONE wife, no divorce, just a mistake. How do I remove entry? Please advise.

Don't try to erase - see if you can Merge them. (Click on one profile in Tree view, select Move, click and drag it on top of the one you want to Merge it with, Compare Profiles to make sure it's the same, then click on "Yes, merge these profiles".
If the button says "Request merge", check the other profile to make sure it has active manager(s) - you may want to drop them a Genimail bringing it to their attention.
If there are no active managers, check to see if you can report it as "Abandoned Tree" (in Profile view, under "Actions"). Note: if Geni can't find an active manager, you're SOL.
Deleting duplicates is vandalizing the tree of others. The correct solution is merging the profiles because it will grant access to both sides of the family.
I have 2 great grandmothers who are sisters (my maternal grandparents are first cousins). This means I now have 2 of everybody who descended from them to my parents. I've tried to merge the duplicates, but I'm still left with 2 of everybody. How can I merge the doubled profiles.?

I have a duplicate profile, and your suggestion of move and drop, or merge doesn't work. All these moves doesn't merge when its supposed to. The profile owner have abandoned it, and not responding to requests to remove his profile from tree. Ive asked to be given the abandoned profile so I can remove it from the tree. As all this is taking too long, what else can i try to fix this issue please.

I strongly feel that as creator/manager of my Tree, that I have overall control on editing and adding or deleting profiles. Yet Geni, doesn't work like that. Its so frustrating when I can't get in touch with profile owners who don't fix duplicates, etc. on their branch of the tree, when the solution just lies with giving me the manager overall control to fix branch issues.

My son made an account when he was a child and a lot of the information is wrong but also he doesn't have access to this account anymore because he doesn't have the email he used to create it. I'd like it to be deleted to resolve some conflicts. Any help is appreciated.
