I am already an existing member of MyHeritage and re-creating a duplicate tree is not what I would consider good practice.  It is difficult enough to do accurate research and maintenance on one tree, let alone two trees on different sites.  On view of what I have stated, kindly delete my details and tree on Geni as I do support the theory of last subscribed, first disposed.  I have had/experienced no problems with Geni and am sure that in some aspects that I have been able to see, Geni has stronger points than My Heritage, but I was raised with loyalty.

  While MyHeritage is great, there are advantages to Geni that you should consider.  http://www.geni.com/worldfamilytree/learn-more

  I actually have a tool that can copy a MyHeritage tree over, one family at a time, though it requires a Pro membership.  Depending on the size, I could assist.  Here is the project on that tool: https://www.geni.com/projects/SmartCopy/18783

  If you still decide to delete your tree, just close your account.  From your account settings you find by clicking your own name in the upper right corner of any Geni page:

  • Close Account - close your Geni account

  Please note that if there are other users in your tree or the tree was built collaboratively by others in your family, it is their tree as well, so closing your account will probably only remove your own profile because your actions should not affect other users.
