I had to split the tree because one person had a father, but the persons father should be unknown.
I joined togheter the tree again via the persons mother.
But now I can't edit many of the nodes below this person, they are grey. I get a message "This node is private...". It wa I who creatyed them and I could edit them before.

I can edit the profile of: "Gustaf Tegenfeldt 2/6/1860". I also can edit all profiles above "Gustaf Tegenfeldt."
But I can't edit "C. Tegenfeldt" (Child to "Gustaf Tegenfeldt"). I can't edit any of the profiles below C. "Tegenfeldt", except for "Herman Gustaf Tegenfeldt"
You are not a manager of these profiles and since they are private and outside your family group now (the only reason why you had access) you don't have access anymore.
I suggest you kindly ask the managers to make it public, add you as a manager pr as an extended family group member.
Dear Curators
When I first started out on geni.com, I though it would work if I created an "Unknown" ancestor, since I didn't know at the time how I was exactly related to the Booysen progenitor. When I later discovered the actual link, I chose to move this unknown person to the proper branch of the tree and planned to subsequently merge the profile with the correct one. However, this profile now has two sets of parents and the system won't allow me to remove one pair, as I am not allowed to "split the tree".
I have since linked my actual bloodline to the correct ancestor, meaning that the "Unknown" profile can be removed altogether, as it no longer serves any purpose as a placeholder.
Could you please assist by deleting the following profile which I erroneously created at that time? The link in the address bar of my browser is as follows:

Julien, I've unmerged that profile that you had merged into Nicole and disconnected it. Not a problem... But while doing that, I did noticed something else. Please do not set the privacy of these historical profiles to private - leave them public. Setting profiles to private is done to protect the privacy of living family members, not for making your entire tree private. Geni is a public shared tree built on collaboration. Historical profiles seen that are private will be made public.
