Dan Cornett It means that the profile can be found elsewhere on the current view of the World Family Tree you are viewing. If you click on the green dot, it will take you to the next occurrence of that profile in the current view.
If the number is larger than 2, each click will take you to the next instance of that profile (circularly 'connected'; you'll eventually get back to the place you started).
They are NOT duplicate profiles; it is just that the particular Tree view shows that same person has relationships in more than one place in the current view. This often happens when cousins are married.
