There seems to be no empirical genealogy of ancestry beyond Mathew of Mathew Howard Sr- who moved from Va to Md---there is a book re the Howard of Brockdish- yet I have seen no solid evidence or DNA evidence, paper or wills etc.
There seems to be the same problem with the Dorsey family of Maryland, which I understand was to have been D'Arcy-- the use of a seal is weak evidence unless we have matching DNA in the UK and America and or papers, wills etc
If this is the case how do I remove the lines beyond that period. We would all like to have ancestry of aristocracy, yet we have to remember that many fled and names were changed and ancestry claimed which was not so.
Have done DNA with Curley/ Mc Curley / Remare and matches with Kirlie back to King James Stewart---and would like other lines as valid as this yet would rather not have it if not correct.
Help on Howard and or Dorsey family of Maryland / Va would be appreciated- I note that they are often intermarried as well. Thanking you in advance for assistance in keeping or removing material...Sincerely/ cheers, Philip
