Janet Simmons Dear Eldon Clark and other GENI Staff:
Just joined GENI. GENI is already becoming a time-drainer and a waste of effort right off the bat.
This is what your example shows for entering birth dates: "DD MM YYYY"
In the world of data entry this translates to = 10 15 2015
It does NOT translate to = OCT 15 2015
I just spent 40 minutes getting error messages because the system will NOT allow users to enter dates based on the example YOU have already provided. (Sorry for the all caps, but I am pretty ticked off.)
I have years of experience writing user manuals and directions.
If GENI want dates entered as "Dec 12 1945" then write an example that says: Date format = DEC 12 1945.
Hint:
Spell out first three (3) letters of month (example = DEC or Dec not "12");
Use 2 characters for date (example = "07" NOT "7");
Use 4 characters for date (Example = 1945)
Do not use slashes or hyphens/dashes to separate dates.
--- And now you want me to pay and "upgrade" to Geni Pro? Users upgrade when they see value in the basic product and want enhanced features. So far I have been incredibly frustrated and have been forced to do part of your job for you.
