My son has two children in his first marriage. He divorced and remarried. In Geni his second wife becomes labelled as stepmother to the children in his first marriage. I do not like that she is called step-mother. To me stepmother has a negative meaning. besides she hardly takes any interest in the children..

Jeff, Geni Curator I don't believe there is a way to relabel the relationships. I'm not sure if any changes are upcoming, but this has been discussed among the curators and Geni staff about the best way to reference some genealogical relationships.
