Is there a way to contact someone at Geni for help? I submitted a ticket request 5 days ago and have not received any contact back. I pay for a pro membership and I need assistance. Half of my family tree is missing... ???!!

Jeff, Geni Curator There is no email for support, just the ticket system. They may be backlogged. As a curator, I can probably assist you though. It looks like you're tree is pending a great deal of merging - duplicates that need to be resolved (you had two trees on Geni that have been brought together). When a tree is in a state of conflict, it may appear as you're missing part of your tree as it's only displaying one possibility in tree view. For example, if you go to your profile, you'll notice there are two profiles for your mother. So you may be seeing the tree from one of these profiles and not fully seeing the tree of the other profile for your mother. So, we need to merge the two profiles into one and then complete any remaining merges so that you have a single, whole tree. See here: http://help.geni.com/entries/516905-What-does-the-Yellow-Triangle-in-the-lower-left-hand-corner-of-a-node-mean- If you need assistance merging your tree, let me know and I can try to help. If there is something else, other part of your tree that is missing, send me a link and I can review the revision history to see what happened.

W. Justin Barbour Thank you sooo much!! I am so grateful its beyond words. I spent many visits with my grandfather before he died finding this information so this is invaluable to me.

Bea Marie McGinn I'm writing here because I cannot find ONE person to talk to at Geni. I needed to cancel my 14 day subscription so I called, submitted a ticket...still they charged me. I can't get a hold of anyone. This website is a total joke.

Donna Sue Wilson - Scheurer I need some help adding a profile photo. When it's loaded, it comes up sideways. . . I have to click here and there until I lucky get to the spot where I can rotate the pic. Then there is no where to save the change and it's goes back to the sideways pic. This web site is NOT user friendly at all. No instructions as to how to use the program - if you get something done correctly, it's just "by gosh and by golly". . . I would not spend my money on something that I can't figure out how to use. . . a response would be appreciated - donnagiron @yahoo.com

Jeff, Geni Curator Bea, to cancel your subscription, follow these instructions: https://help.geni.com/hc/en-us/articles/229706247-How-do-I-cancel-my-free-trial-
Donna, the picture will upload in whatever position it is in the image. So you could rotate it before upload. As far as after, on the picture screen, there is rotate at the top and after you rotate, there is a Done button. It may snap back, but you just need to refresh the page.

Bonnie Gail Berheim Daugherty I am trying to change my husband's parents sttus to adoptive parents (both). It does not seem to be working. I also added a second "tab" for Robert Daugherty and cannot get rid of it. Please help

Bonnie Gail Berheim Daugherty *status

Jeff, Geni Curator Bonnie, on Richard's profile, you'll want to scroll down a bit more on the Relationship tab. Check to box to remove Robert & Unknown and click remove. This will leave only one set of parents (defined as adoptive) Robert & Margaret.
-
Bonnie Gail Berheim Daugherty Thanks for the response, Jeff. I so appreciate it. I took a screen shot (see below) of the page where I am trying to remove the "Robert & unknown." I get the following warning and the Remove button will not work. Warning: Removing these connections will split the tree.
-
Jeff, Geni Curator Oh, I didn't realize there were two Roberts. Go into Tree View and click the "More" button, then select "Resolve duplicates". Drag the duplicate Robert over the other and follow the steps to merge them into a single profile. Then it will step you through selecting both persons as his parents.
-
Jeff, Geni Curator The "More" / "Resolve duplicates" on Richard's profile.
-
Bonnie Gail Berheim Daugherty Ok, got that finished. Now should it display Rich's parents as "adoptive" in Rich's tree and change the number of his "blood relatives?"
-
Jeff, Geni Curator Now if you do the Remove on the Robert & Unknown, you shouldn't get the Tree Split error. That will fix the 2x on Richard.
It will only specify "adoptive" if there are also "biological" parents attached, otherwise, it will just say he is the son of X & Y.
For updating the blood relatives count, that's part of a batch process that updates the statistics periodically. I don't think it's instant.
-
Bonnie Gail Berheim Daugherty Sorry to take up so much of your time, but how does a person now add a birth mother?
-
Jeff, Geni Curator You should see a yellow arrow above the profile and be able to add additional parents.
-
Bonnie Gail Berheim Daugherty Thank you much for all of your help

Anna Campione - My sister took it upon herself to put myself my husband and my children on this site. How do we delete ourselves so that they cannot see our information and no one else can as well. This is a complete violation of our privacy and we do not want to be part of the family tree as we do not get along with our family and want nothing to do with this tree or them

Elzbieta Mistat Please remove my pic from your data base as google denied my request:
