My tree that I worked so hard on now suddenly has thousands of new ancestors not made by me. This is the third time I've posted a question about how to unmerge these new descendants that I don't want on my tree. I had a certain system I was using and now it's useless. Please tell me how to show only people that I've entered myself on my family tree.

Jeff, Geni Curator Andrea, Geni is a collaborative world family tree and merging duplicates is a normal part of this process. This is how the site works. https://www.geni.com/worldfamilytree/learn-more
There are many benefits to the Geni model of collaboration and removing duplication. What I can suggest for seeing the profiles you manage is to look at your list: https://www.geni.com/list On the top right there is a filter for "Added by me" or "Managed by me". I know that seems like a bother but there are many advantages to having your tree merged with others -- you'll find connections you previously didn't know existed, and maybe even find some new cousins! Such as, I can now see you're my 11th cousin once removed - can't do that in an isolated tree. :)
If you decided the shared tree model is not for you, Geni's parent company MyHeritage has a great platform for the isolated trees that you describe.

Jeff, Geni Curator Also, if there are any errors or you find an incorrect connection in the shared tree that you can't resolve, we'll be happy to fix that. Feel free to contact the curators designate a profile as a Master Profile or to lock in certain referenced data.

Jane Doe Someone merged a file to mine that is incorrect. They have my mother as deceased and she is not. They have my step-brother listed as my brother and he is not. How do i correct these items???

Jeff, Geni Curator Kelly, I'm not seeing your mother's profile. I'd be happy to help you fix the tree - these are easy corrections if I can identify them.

GWA van der Lingen I would like to remove my mother's ancestors from my tree, as the tree has become too large, due to the many ancestor additions by other people. I am the direct VAN DER LINGEN descendent, dating back to 1552 in the Netherlands, but is now unable to view the tree as it is too large. Can you please help so that I have only a VAN DER LINGEN family tree.
Regards,
Willie van der Lingen
