how do i import from ancestry.com using smart copy

  You would need a pro account (or a trial membership).  Load Chrome extension, visit Ancestry and copy destination Geni profile, etc.

  I can't find the Smart Copy app/extension. I have seen the video, have Chrome downloaded. What am I missing?

  Hello. Thanks for the quick response. I have done all of that, downloaded a freezer version of Chrome. Watched the 7 minute video. What I am unable to do is figure out out to add the extension for Smart Choice. Am i over looking something simple. High tech and I are not the best of friends.

  That is what I thought. What I found was thru a 3rd party provider. I have still not been able to figure out how to get the extension.

  OK, I don't to appear hopeless. One of the links is to the Smart Copy project page and the other is a link to download Chrome. I have done that, but am confused as to where to find the Smart Copy Icon. I have looked for on my Chrome browser and can't find it. It may be possible that I am not sure what I should be looking. After downloading Chrome, I went to findagrave.cm and did not see the icon.

  I know it doesn't work for Safari.

  What am I overlooking?

  Sorry to be such a bother.

  Here is a screenshot of my Chrome browser. I would think the SmaretCopy icon would be on the tool bar in the upper right. Or am I looking in the right place.

  After downloading Chrome and thinking that the SmartCopy extension would come with it. I was wrong - my fault. Searching thru things, I found that the extension had not be added and that I needed to go the google store and download it. Now, I will play around with it and see if I can get the icon to appear on toolbar.

  That was the trick! Got the icon on toolbar, learned something new. Now to play around with it this evening.

  You should also look at the configuration options for SmartCopy and I would advice you to activate the consistency checks (click the icon for that).
