I was invited to join a family tree, but the invitation was sent to me as if I was my deceased grandmother (in error by the sender). I thought I could fix it once I joined, but now my identity is hers as the send had put me in the tree with her name, and I can't edit it to indicate she is deceased. Is there any way to fix this?

Muammar Ghadafi ISHAK That's tricky. I faced something similar before with my far relative, a son was wrongly merge to his own mother. To make things worst he is not the type that can explore how to fix it and doesn't even response. His profile ended up like that for several years until recently I came to help him.
In your case, how about you try to delete your account? I believe the tree will still be there, just need to ask someone else to invite you back at the correct profile. But this will make the management of all your profiles being transferred to someone else.
Another approach is to manually detach all the profiles connected to you and reconnect it at the right new place. However I believe the feature to disconnect a tree require a PRO subscription. Perhaps a curator can also help you on this matter. :)

Bjørn P. Brox A curator like me can easily help you by just moving your claimed profile to correct location and replace the spot you leave with a new profile. Pro users can probably do the same, but need access to edit your profile unless you do it your self.
