I have a great deal of information which I would like to pass on to a profile manager. However, each time I attempt to use the "contact profile manager" I am confronted by a request to subscribe to this site. I have, only joined in order to help this profile manager and for no other reason

Jeff, Geni Curator Margaret, there should be no cost to contact the manager, but don't do it through the Geni search utility. Find the profile you're looking for, perhaps by Google, and then click the contact manager when you're on that page.
