How do I keep someone from updating or making any kind of changes to our tree that is not related to us. I dont know how he is doing it and there is zero relation....its scary and I want to make it private so he cant touch it. is there a way?

I've tried blocking people who are making changes that are clearly incorrect but if they are a Curator they can just proceed anyway. They are out of control
how are they allowed to make changes just because they're a curator? is there someone we can report them to? ESPECIALLY if they're making incorrect changes!

Blocking doesn't help with Curators as I found out. All you can do is report the profile that's been tampered with and what the tampering involves and also report the individual tampering for vandalism.
You'll also find you get the response that the Tamperer is related to you. It will be something like he's your 10th cousin 50 times removed - and they'll expect you to take that seriously - funny if it wasn't so silly.
What gets me is that those that PAY for a subscription are getting their "trees" messed with and it aggravates me to no end. If we are paying for a subscription, NO ONE should be allowed to change anything on it!!
Agreed, that's one reason why I keep my main records on Ancestry - no tampering there. Wouldn't pay for Geni unless they stopped it and did away with the Curators.
