A Google search still finds a deleted profile from geni.com. How can this be stopped?

I made a mistake when adding a name to my tree and deleted the entire profile. When you google the person's name it still finds a link to the profile even though it no longer exists and the short description of the profile includes the mistake. How do I prevent a Google search from even finding the old profile since it was deleted? This is urgent. Please help.

  Google search is not live.  It indexes the web and queries based on that cache.  I then updates that cache periodically (rescans the web).  What you're seeing is the cache results and they will go away next time Google indexes Geni.  You can try to submit a request here to have the cache updates sooner.  https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/removals?hl=en
