I am an experienced Geni user (I hope ;) ) but I have this problem that I can't figure out.
In my family tree, there is a married lesbian couple. One of the women gave birth to a boy using an anonymous sperm donor so she is his biological mother. I am not sure about the legal status between the other woman and the boy.
Now, how to add that to Geni? I'd like the two women to be a married couple and one of them to be a biological mother and the other an adoptive mother (or something like that). The sperm donor doesn't need to be included.
How can I do that?

Patrick Kovacs You have to add the sperm donor at least temporarily. Then you add the child to the biological family. And then you can delete the sperm donor. The child should show up as biological child to one woman and stepchild of the other woman.

Jeff, Geni Curator You could also do a move on the child and drag them over the adopted mother and select as child. Then in the relationship tab of the child, you could set that parent relationship as adopted. -
Patrick Kovacs The only downside to this is that Geni.com currently treats adopted relationships exactly like blood relationships in the statistics and lists.

Martin Čakrt Thanks for your advices. I've tried to follow them but I still could not get it right... Either both women are listed as biological parents, or both of them are as adoptive parents.
I guess Geni can't handle this time of relationships yet, so I'll probably leave it as it is.
