Who in family should take the test for the male line?
I know if I want information on my mother's side I could do it, but my uncle - mother's brother is probably better for that male line.
If I want information on my father's side, again, I could do it, but my father or my uncle - father's brother is probably better.
There has been a major disagreement in my family about who is better between my father and his brother, my father's brother is older.
I believe that they would be equal, age makes no difference, they both have the same parents. My wife says the older male sibling is preferred, but this makes absolutely logical sense to me.
How would dna formed a few years earlier from the same parent possibly be better to discover the male line?
