I am trying to import a tree from MyHeritage, however I have found myself unable to do it. The documentation available in the SmartCopy site to use the add-on is really poor and I have not clue how to start using it. Can anybody help me working on it?

Jeff, Geni Curator Valentine, the best place for questions about SmartCopy is in that project's discussion. https://www.geni.com/discussions?discussion_type=project-18783
I'd suggest reading through the project page, which gives some guidance on the Chrome extension.
Couple things:
1) If you're trying to copy over profiles from MyHeritage, you're going to need a Geni Pro account (which can be done through the free trial). This is due to the restrictions built into the Geni API.
2) You'll need to have a curator authorize you to use it, which you can request in one of those forum topics. The reason we do this is because we want to be very clear to you that this is a world tree and that you should not create duplicates of existing profiles. As you add a new generation to Geni, you should be familiar with the blue indicators of a match and even search Geni for existing profiles of the ancestors you're adding, so that you merge into existing profiles and not create new profiles of ancestors already on Geni. Essentially, we want you to know what you're doing before we give you such a powerful tool as misuse creates more work for curators.
From there, we can certainly help you get going if you're having issues.

Valentín de Pablo Fouce Thanks a lot for your interest.
I have already tried moving through that webpage, indeed I have joined to the community. Essentially:
- I have not been able to find basic information of how to use the script, neither reaching to the point a Pro account is needed.
- I am not allowed to create any discussion in the project, that's why I decided to use this forum in order to ask for help.
Thanks again

Valentín de Pablo Fouce I was trying to make the point the following:
- I am not able to use the project page
- Looking to other comments in the site I have not reached the same blocking point as others.
So I am completely blocked without a clear way to proceed.

Dan Cornett Hi, Valentin
Try starting here: https://www.geni.com/projects/SmartCopy/18783 (that other link took you to the list of Discussions for the project).
First thing is you HAVE TO use the Google Chrome browser. SmartCopy is an 'extension' (add-on) that only works with Chrome.
There is a link on that project page to "download SmartCopy"; once you have done that successfully, you should see an 'icon' on the Chrome toolbar which looks like a smaller version of the icon on that Project page (currently it looks like a black right-pointing arrowhead on a blue background). SmartCopy is activated by clicking on that Chrome toolbar icon when you are on an appropriate "source" page that SmartCopy knows how to interpret.

Lauris Baum Personally, I think banning GEDCOM uploads seriously backfires. It just leads to tiny, partial, abandoned, out of date trees being on here and as for it making the accuracy rate go up.... I see some trees from my area that appear to be like 50% wrong here which is worse than I see at MyHeritage. I'm not sure how I can even merge profiles for the few matches to that tree without making some inconsistent, circular, tangled mess. And many people come from areas where they are lucky to find one or two matching names for every 2000 leaves.
My tree here is a disastrous runt compared to my MyHeritage version and I see other clearly half-abandoned trees here when comparing to version on other sites.
As soon as Geno Pro trial runs out man no longer use SmartCopy to update here, even among those who did to begin with.
Just not sure how this leads to the intended goal.

Valentín de Pablo Fouce Professional genealogists tend to have a significant number of profiles, importing them and maintaining them without GEDCOM means an enormous amount of work. Geni, in terms of user interface, is far less optimized than others in the market.
That makes Geni attractive for amateur genealogists (like me)... so essentially blocking GEDCOM imports is the best way to not attract best genealogists and filling the trees with low quality data.
Finally is the decision of Geni, but if their ambition is to create a single tree for the world they rather invest a lot in GEDCOMs than in Curators
