Blood relatives

Hello,

After merging of my blood family person profile, the number of reported blood relatives did not increase. What can be reason for that?

And related question - I have blood family member, but when asking for showing path to him, system shows much longer as and and not according blood connection.

What recommendations can be for solving these problem?

  The count is not dynamic as it would be too resource intensive.  It is a scheduled process that updates periodically.  The pathing between people is often cached.  Users can refresh that cache after a certain period of time (curators can do so more aggressively) by click the refresh icon (if available) next to the path, which will search the most direct pathing.
